Tyre shine

Featured Replies

Been using Autoglym Tyre Dressing since i started driving so not sure if there is anything better. I've seen the Hell shine stuff from Autobrite is on sale but not sure if it's any better?

For the cost, give Berry Blast and Tyre Gloss a go. They are both good products in my book.

TyreGloss is a bit of a wetter look, Berry Blast Endurance lasts longer.

Couple of bottles will see a lot of people 12 months or more unless detailing several cars regularly.

I use Meguiars Endurance Tyre Shine...Goes a long way and lasts well

Gyeon Tire is my new favourite

My current favourite on the tyres is Autosmart Highstyle - great results - lasts forever (it seems!)

Also testing out KKD Trim-X for tyre duties on SWMBO's car. Nice matt finish and good beading/protection.

My favourite is Zaino Z16 for a satin look.

If you want uber glossy tyres then Gyeon Q2 Tire is very good & the most durable I have tried.

+1 for Meg's endurance. I've just finished my pot so going to try something else this time. Btw the Meg's stuff smells amazing!

Always used Chemical Guys New Look Trim Gel - great product and offers excellent value for money

I've used lots of different ones lately, I tried armour all extreme tire gel as it offered one of the best durability. It was horrible to work with, really sticky and didn't spread easily , made of mess of the applicator and looked pants on the car tbh.

I've also used mainze car cares own which I really rate called rivival matt look tyre dressing, this is really impressive stuff. Lasts a long time and really gives a natural Matt finish. Would recommend this.

Krystal Klean Trim-X on mine for a week or so now and still looking quite good. It's not a glossy product, which suits me.

Best to spray on as it's very thin, but I've had no sign of 'slign' while driving.

Idea guys:

How about adding your favourite/recommendation...with links, into the Pinned thread above?..HERE

Then everyone can find and view them

Saying what your favourite is fine, but giving a link is equally important IMO

I just google the recommendation.

Just an idea Mark....Having the link available is always preferable isn't it?

Of course it is, and when I'm in an organised mood I try to provide, links, pics and vids as it enriches the content on Brisky.

But for me the main thing is people keep making the recommendations.

I guess I'm just cautious about having "link police" is all.

We do live in an age where finding things online is exceptionally easy.

A little more on topic

I had some Croftgate Tire Shine in a Waxybox and it was excellent.  Very good durability if you blow a little heat over it once applied.

Croftgate Tire Shine

Thanks for the link.....never heard of it before

Ahhhh...never thought of using a hair dryer after application. I have had some `fling` occasionally (using Megs Endurance) so I'll give them a blast of warmth next time.

Thanks alot, Mark.

Regards

Mike.

The hairdryer is recommended on the Gyeon, I did one using & one without. Got 6 weeks without dryer & an extra week when using it. It's a very glossy finish, but after a couple of weeks it is much more subtle.
