Need help with my 'new' fabia..

Featured Replies

Hi guys.. I recently bought a MK Fabia 1.4 MPi.

It was fine for the first 2 weeks..

When I accelerate the car is very jerky through all gears at all speeds..

I have changed the oil, antifreeze, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs and coil pack but the problem hasn't gone away.

Need help as I need my car for work and have run out of ideas?

Please help!!

You really need to get the fault codes read. I'd have suspected coil pack failure because it's pretty common but I see you've already replaced it.

The only code that came up was for battery because I have weak alternator. I'm all out of ideas.

Could injectors be the problem?

Yes it could be a dodgy injector/injectors. I'd have thought it would have showed a fault code though.

Yeah so would I...

Im changing the engine temp sensor/sender tomorrow aswell.

You bought new coil pack?

Heard of people buying them from the scrappers putting them on and still having the same problem however now thinking it is something else.

It was second hand off of a working engine. So I hope its all good. Any way of checking it?
