IMO the Fabia rubbing strips don't lend themselves to a smooth finish. I'll be using MK4 Golf rubbing strips on mine for something a little smoother...

Mine are smooth. ;) They were smoothed off with some gunk of some kind prior to spraying. By the way, decided to leave the mesh silver - I'm going to be attempting in the long run to silverise (sp? :D) the black slats in the grill to match THAT to the mesh, not the other way around....

I've got the car in at the bodyshop for a day next week sometime. ;)

Suppose that could work too  - you'll need to update your sig pic though - that still shows black for the rubbing strip :P

Was done in the dealers bodyshop by the previous owner. For me it's not the bump strips that float my boat, it's the door handles, just makes the car look a bit more expensive with colour coded door handles.

Of course none of this matters if you have a black car!! unless you are really picky and want the finishes to match.

nice - did a bodyshop do that or a chips-away type outfit?

I like them coloured, makes the car look more complete.

No ch@vness involved in that at all IMHO.

The 'New' Fabia Sport does not have side rubbing strips AND the handles are body coloured. Why cant they do this to the vRS??

The Sport has colour coded handles eh... :runchin:

Wonder how much they are from the dealers?
