Lights in back seats..timer?

Featured Replies

Hi noticed now when it´s darker outside that that the lights in the back seat goes out very quick. Tried to change leaving home settings but they still go out 5 seconds after you open the door. Not enough time to put the kids in their child seats.

Any solution to this?

5 seconds? Mine say on much longer than that.

I did however notice this on the Octavia the other week when cleaning out the interior, each time I opened a door the interior lights came on but instead of staying on for a while like they used to they were going off in only a few seconds. I think this was to preserve the battery.

After starting the engine the normal delay returned.

I assume you are experiencing this issue each time the interior lights are on?

As above I experience the same. I think it's some sort of power saving device of sorts. If I am in and out of the car on the drive mine don't stay on as long as if I've just got back from a drive. Perhaps it knows your not 'coming home' and your just faffing about!?

Forgot to reply to this: my battery was kind of low after using the heater. Recharged it and the light stays on longer.

So the same as my 2008 Octavia, the battery was almost dead and the interior lights would stay on for no longer than 5 seconds.
