Whats this Screw/Bolt do?

Hi all...

 

I noticed this screw/bolt in the door, and the fact its sticking out somewhat. Before I get a torx to it, anyone know what its for? (and I must get a replacement oval plastic grommit to blank the hole next to it!).

 

Any help much appreciated...

It should have a rubber cover on, with the plug bit going in the hole

I always knock it off when I clean my car

Not sure what it does though tbh

You saying the the screw/bolt should have a cover, Damo, or just the oval opening?

The rubber covers the screw and is held in place by a bung that fits in the hole

Have a look on your other door (unless those are missing too)
