Roof bars for estate

Featured Replies

Ah see now your one looks like a slightly modern version of mine! I have tried several times to fit them, thinking I was doing it wrong somehow but they are too small. Thule have said their normal square bars are the only ones that would fit. Being fussy I want some nice smooth looking aerodynamic ones!

I will try post a picture of my car later, unfortunately I have sold the bars so cant take a picture to show what they look like "on" the roof.

If anyone is interested, we bought the Whispbars, which were really easy to fit.   They are silent when fitted alone, and now have the roof box on too - but haven't yet made any motorway journeys to see how that affects the noise - the box has not been a problem on square bars on other cars, so should be fine.

I've done three trips to the South of France with those and a Thule box strapped to it. No issues with them at all.

I'm currently looking for a good set of roof bars for an Octavia Mk2 estate if anyone has some up for sale! Thanks

Can someone advise.  I have some old 515 0164-02  area bars from my old Seat Leon.  They are only 108cm wide.

would these fit on the roof rails of a 12 reg Octavia VRS or are they way too narrow, they look like they could fit but will take advise.   I would need to buy feet anyway

Thanks

Damo
