I Can't Find That Power Wiring Thread?

Yes, indeed. To get some idea of how much overkill this is, have a look at the thickness of the cable going to the starter motor. The cranking amps for that is way more than you'll ever need for your amp, and I'll bet it's thinner. And your battery wouldn't cope with having 170A drawn from it for long!!

BTW - joking aside from yesterday, if you can't find a route within the car, you could always try and find one underneath, assuming you can attach it to the floorpan in some way ;)

OH **** - forgot to ask about the remote wire - godamnit! - Got the RCA cabling though. :D - good stuff too

To fix the sub to the back of the seat get some canvas ratchet straps and screw a couple of brackets to the back of the seat to run them through.

Ratchet straps, eh? That similar to the strap system on a rucksack? I will find a way, and :speaker: "do it, myyyy waaaaayyyyyy!"

Yep , them's the beasties.

Mine came with the sub but I'm sure you can find some elsewhere

Right - suggestions for retailers of aforementioned strap & bracket setups? I can't think of any off the top off my head (unless I self-destruct my old hiking rucksack at home.... :D)

Don't Halfords sell cargo-strap type things? Also the self-adhesive velcro strips...

Halfords... hmmm... good suggestion. I think for now I may leave the sub bungeed to the r/h side of the boot until I can get a proper set-up done. Tonight is the evening for destruction BTW - I'm going to let loose at my car with my tool-set. [wicked laugh!]

I'll get in touch with the AA for you and let them know to expect a call... :D

Hmmm... all depends which thunderbird they send...

(Note to Jason and younger readers - thunderbirds are not some sort of page3 model!)

I, for one, did not know that International Rescue was something from Thunderbirds.

BTW - talking of page 3 - there's some kind of "curse of page 3" program on soon. Must make sure I see that one. :o
