Oil pipe broken

Featured Replies

heya guys i have just been given a fabia 1.4 estate and found out that the pipe from the oil tank going back into the engine has got a slit in it. i have been told it is the pipe that circulates the oil from the bottom of the engine back to the top. i was wondering how easy this is to replace and what kind of pipe it is that i will need.

many thanks

Do you mean the breather pipe that attaches to the air filter housing on top of the engine?

from what i can see it is the pipe from just bellow on the side where the oil filler is and it runs to the top of the engine its only around 20 cm long but has a split and oil is coming out. i believe it is something to do with oil circulation

If it were an actual oil pipe then it would be like a fountain gushing everywhere, no, it's the breather pipe it simply takes oil mist from the engine breather into the air intake, you can order a new one from a skoda dealer, it isn't critical at all, you can tape it up to reduce the mess while you wait for the part to arrive.

Ok thanks I'll take a picture just to be sure and put it up later and I'll contact the skoda dealer thanks
