Insert or bag for the space in the spare wheel well?

Featured Replies

I would like to put the compressor for the tyres and a couple of other bits and bobs inside the spare wheel well as there is a big space there even with the spare wheel being there. Do Skoda sell an insert or a bag that fits in there?

I'm sure I've seen those black polystyrene things in there for cars that did not spec the spare wheel.

In fact, this is what I am looking for. The one nearest the back of the car

I think the question is - why are those inserts missing from your car (if it didn't come with a spare wheel)?

But yes, you can buy those inserts from your local dealer.

I,ve got that in mine including the spare wheel too :)

I have one out of my Citigo that i don,t use but not sure if it will fit?

I got the spare wheel when I ordered the car but it's bizarre that there's a space there if one of those inserts would've fitted.

Strange that you have one including the spare.

One thing I did notice yesterday was when the sales guy was showing me around the car, they've started putting the engine cover back on again which I think was missing from a lot of Rapids.

I'll email the dealer and see if I should've got one

Thanks for the info

Where is your car jack/ tools ? Usually they are in the foam insert that fits in the spare wheel.

I've got one of those in my Toledo, put the spare shopping bags in there yesterday. Fits in behind the spare wheel nicely.

Well it shows exactly how on the ball I was when the salesman showed me round the car on Saturday. I've just gone into the boot and I actually do have the black insert thingy in the spare wheel well next to the spare wheel.

I think you can get carried away when looking around cars, not everything sinks in or you think to look, or check on. I took another look around the one I bought before the final payment was made, just to convince myself everything I thought was there actually was. Always good practice anyway, I've been bitten once before with stuff missing that was actually on a car when viewing but not when collecting.

I did this on my Rapid too.If no Amundsen and spare wheel i was ready to walk.I would,ve been straight down to my Suzuki dealer and buy an in stock new Swift Sport with everything as standard for only £12K.I actually regret doing this now.
