Featured Replies

Worth giving a Clio RS a try yourself, it is a fat lump,

and while VWG play down skoda numbers, sometimes, and up weights with Ballast and printed figures,

Renault just seem to take a French attitude to them.

  • I have a 2010 vRS and there is nothing wrong with the headlights. Yes, it uses a bit of oil but nothing to get too excited about. And no problems with the DSG. Ok, the suspension is somewhat firm (run

  • I had one of the last SE versions of the Fabia 1 VRS and now have a Fabia 2 VRS.  Liked both of them, Fabia 1 was a 9 second to 60 mph car, Fabia 2 is a 7 second to 60 mph car.  0-60 in 9 seconds is v

  • Forget the MKIII vRS, it ain't gonna happen - get some closure :P

Skoda have to release a Fabia VRS to keep up with the competition. If they don't they are very foolish

Renault has always led the way with car safety being one of the first marques to have five star safety across the range.

Seen the Top Gear video where the Peugeot GTI and Fiesta ST.

Will be most interested on how the paddles can force the engine to be in the gear you want.  Fabia VRS dry DSG gearbox is good but not perfect.  Still prefer auto over manual. 0-60s speak for themselves.

Mapping the Clio RS gives 250 hp no problem and supposedly sharpens the gearbox action. 0-60 in 5.9 then.

Nice that it is a 1.6T rather than a 1.4 as this is the cc of all motorsport capacity motors now ie WRC, WTCC, F1 etc.

Now that VW decided that 1.8 lt was the way to go to produce 192 bhp, they maybe have the longevity and reliability of the engine

correct, and the possibility of producing more power from these later on still unstressed.

A Twincharger / DSG (Automated Manual) 5 Door alternative that can be had for 'much cheapness' as a slightly used car.

& if just a 3 door Auto is required there are Mito's.

TCT Versions sitting at Alfa Dealerships just waiting for sensible offers on them.

Like the Renault Clio RS 200 1.6T, as good as they are, not enough people are buying them New.

This vid i like.
