XDS Question?

Featured Replies

Threads like this... I don't know if I should laugh or cry. :D The bloke who is happy to shine his brake lights at someone behind him but gets upset when someone returns the favour so goes on a go slow and the lad who's best reasoning for doing something is 'because everyone else does'. Sad times, my primary reason for not doing it is to save my discs warping but it is the same has leaving yer rear fog on in queuing traffic, which does my swede in so double reason not to.

The fact is, it doesnt bother that many people. I've never been flashed for doing it or had anybody come to my window.

Most road users do it, and as i say its not congested where i live so we dont stop for too long anyway.

Just a moaning bunch making a fuss out of nothing.

Next time you stop on a hill on the bike Matt, turn the ignition off, so the brake light doesnt 'blind' people behind. ;)

They can embarrass them selves i think.

So is the intention to have a faster one, than a standard or mapped and modified one ?

Getting better handling from the SUV than the old persons shopping cart should be easy to get.

Have fun with it.

Enjoying doing things to a car that sonfar nobody else has yet done and it will be seeing a track or two next year but maintains (as much as possible) a stock look, surprising the od person is always fun :)

Turbo upgrade and stage 2 map early next year will make it even more fun to drive :)

Ohhhh, I see! Haha see there is a reason for doing it on the bike isn't there, no other option. If you'd said you were talking about bikes all along I'd have not said anything,

I was under the impression it was a discussion about people in cars and the attitude of 'if I wanna do something I'll do it, I don't care if it annoys someone else' without any real reason (aside from being lazy!)

My apologies.

I was talking about the entire 'blinding people' thing, whatever the vehicle. Its all the same.

I cant see how you can flash at everybody who does it, you might aswel just drive around with high beam on permanently lol.

Dont understand it myself. Dont understand why people get themselves wound up over nothing.

If all there was to worry about was some 21w red lights, they should be happy with life. Theres much worse things they could be worried about.

It's a minor annoyance, same as fog lights, people parking in 2 spaces and people that stop on the wrong side of the road and leave their lights on. I'm not flashing anyone or anything else, but it's the kinda stuff that I just expected car enthusiasts to have a bit more curtesy to other road users about. A couple of 21w bulbs don't fuss me but a whole boot lid of led bulbs on a Merc is somewhat annoying if you're stuck behind it for any length if time.

Each to their own I guess.

Fair shout mate.

The headlights at the side of the road can be dangerous. I dont like that.

Theyre a fair brightness though. They do actually dazzle lol
