Thinking of coming back to an Octy

Featured Replies

I was thinking of coming back to an octy, but cannot decide on the 1.6 tdi or 1.6 petrol,

I have the superb 1.9 tdi TD 59 plate at the moment on 99K with full service new clutch and belts, how much would this be worth against an octy estate.

Is there any problems with either of the above to look out for if I go ahead it will be of around the same age or about 2 years newer

Only issue on the 1.6 tdi is that egr replacements are quite expensive due to restricted access.

....consider the 1.4 petrol (goes a lot better than you think a 1.4 should!)...I think the 1.6's are "older" engines and have been re[placed by the 1.4's.

OK not as much torques as a diesel but in normal driving still very good...( and no DPF's top worry about....and sooooooooo quite!).

Have been pleased with mine since changing from a 2.0ltr diesel a few months ago... and the 1.4 is more economical, (and petrol is cheaper)...
