Hi Guys

my previous car you could mute the Sat Nav directions, still see the route and hear the radio all the time. With the amundsen you only seem to be able to reduce the volume so at and approaching junctions the radio goes quiet while the announcement is made. any ideas how you do this?

I have Columbus, but I would have thought it works exactly the same - either hit the 'mute' button on the steering wheel each time to kill the announcement, or if you want something a little more permanent, go into the Nav settings and there is an option there for which announcements you want - if you change it to 'congestion only' then you won't get any spoken directions, only a notification if that Nav changes the route due to traffic issues (does the Amundsen have Traffic info as well?).

amundsen not at that level of sophistication im afraid, the only Announcement option is "in Call" ( or not)

Hi John,

this is the first thing I did when I got the car.

You go in navigation/settings (gearing pict.)/Nav. instuctions

Then, you just set volume to Off.

This is permanent until set otherwise.
