Looking for instructions on how to log

Featured Replies

Hi All

Will post a fuller post to follow, but for now a quick question.  I've had an overboost warning fault cleared and want to find the root cause.  I assume VCDS allows some sort of data logging.  Will I just have to "press record" as it were, or is there more to it then that.

PS - the cable is being borrowed from a friend of a friend of a friend, so I'd like to get some logging done an give it back sharpish.

Cheers

Simon

What VCDS version is he running?, presume it is a ross-tech cable?.

If so manual is available to download here - http://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/tour/main_screen.html    Go to bottom of page for link.

Sections 7 and 8 are what you need.

I'm hoping its a VCDS cable and not just a generic code reader.  I'll have a read of the link in any case.

thank you.

On the Fabia VRS and other turbo diesel engines, group 011 in the engine section 01, measuring blocks 08. The log button is in there
