Question for anyone with a milotec rear diffuser...

Featured Replies

Hi all. Got myself a milotec diffuser for the back of the car. Stupidly I figured it was a case of tiger seal, stick, forget.

Finally we have some clear weather so I went to fit it today. Only did a test fit thankfully. Fits nicely on the drivers side, can't get a rizla between it and the bumper. However, round the exhaust cut out and the other side the fit is terrible.

Did anyone else have to cut the exhaust cutout in the bumper bigger to fit it? If so what a stupid design and how much of a cutout did you do?

It's gonna have to back in the garage now till the summer when I have time to do it properly but interested in others experience...

Hi,

I did widen the exhaust pipe cut out (1/2 - 3/4 inch each side), to enable the diffuser to fit up against the body surface.

Then 1/2 a tube of Tigerseal and loads of gaffer tape later, I left it for 24 hours.

Im quite pleased with the effect, it certainly improves the rear end of the car.

Looks well smart! That's the look in going for!

So you enlarge the sides, not the top?

Yes deffo did the sides and the top edge of the exhaust bumper cutout, not so much on the  top if  I remember correctly.

i taped it in position initially and from underneath (car was on ramps) looking rearwards, checked how much of the bumper edges clashed with the diffuser radiused edge and cut the bumper away as required.

NB: Avoid any sharp corners when cutting, blend corners / edges with a small radius to prevent cracks starting.

Hope this helps

Yes I also had to enlarge the sides of the bumper cutout.

I used little screws along the bottom where they don't show, tiger seal and a bit of tape to hold it:

I must of been lucky. No cutting at all. I did test fit it and as most said tiger sealed all the outer and inner edges and taped in place overnight.
