Heater blower not working

The heater blower is not working on 123 settings but works on 4 not the digital type, stopped of at telfords Carlisle they said dash out job, don't think so but can anyone confirm this.

What part do I need to change and is it an easy job 10 plate 1.9 tdi S

Any how to or a diagram please
