can i fit glasses case

Featured Replies

i have been told i must replace the interior light fitting in order  to fit a glasses holder to my 2014 2.0 cr yeti it would cost £80 for light fitting I thought i could take the blank plastic cover out and fit the glasses holder in its place.

My glasses don't fit in it anyway......if it's important, make sure first.

The cover just clips in and the glasses holder slots in instead

Did mine 2 years ago and never used it...........

Use the glasses holder for my prescription sunglasses and the top of facia cubbyhole for my 'standard' driving glasses.  I am disappointed that the top of facia cubbyhole is not fitted on the MkIII Octavia.  I assume that the glasses holder above the windscreen in the Octavia is identical to that in the Yeti?

Whoever told you that obviously needs to buy a pair of glasses!!

I never use my glasses holder; it's pretty small and may not take some glasses/sunglasses. In any case, putting your glasses into and taking them out of the glasses holder inevitably means fingermarks on the lenses...

+1. None of my wife's sunglasses fit either.

I've only ever used it for small change.

Ha ha, meter money.......me too.

Definately too small and I don't use mine at all - for anything.

Snap

I have a couple of (xxy) 'sticky pads' that sit on the dash and hold them from moving at any time.

I use it for my 5 year olds sun glasses! mine go in the dash top box.

My sunglasses fit in the glasses box no trouble at all.  Not that I use them much, though, since I've started to need correction for distance as well as near vision.  I have a pair of prescription photochromics but they mainly for outdoor sports and don't work (ie don't turn dark) inside the car.  If I do really need sunnies when I'm driving - which seems to be rarely these days - I just wear the non-prescription ones over my varifocals!

Ah, another young trendy..... :-))))

My sunglasses fit fine.  It's worth pointing out that they should be placed lens-down for best fit.

The coating on mine wouldn't last long.

I transferred the glasses holder from my 2011 Yeti to my current 2014 one. 2 minute job. Be aware that the interior gets VERY hot in the summer.

The rubber lining is fine on my lenses, though they're not specially-coated (as far as I can see).

Maybe you could put a small section of felt in there for protection.

I am another member of the never used it club! I find it far easier to keep my glasses in the right-hand door pocket.

Mine are usually on my nose, and, in use!  ; - ))

Just no enough room for my ever-so-trendy polarisers with their ever-so-trendy, and expensive, coating.
