VRs front caliper make

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me what type of calipers my 2007 VRs has, or how to identify them without taking them off? I need to rebuild them and there seem to be several options.

Usually a Lucas caliper, with a single ATE piston of 54mm diameter. I've used biggred .co.uk in the past for brake rebuild kits. Nice and easy to navigate their site to find what you need :)

Thanks - I will try them

Buying a pre-refurbed caliper can work out cheaper sometimes - check out all good motor factors as they all use OEM Lucas castings.

As above, far less hassle to replace with new assuming you can find a reasonably priced one.

Plenty of choice on Ebay

Even Euro Car Parts are reasonable for the genuine TRW (Lucas) article, and are pre-painted!

Check out CESuk / Kimber Car Parts and other motor factors...

Kimber seem good for the TRW's, just a bigger surcharge and you'll need to post your old units back if not local to them:
