Will try and get a picture up.

But ill try to explain where it is.

Work back from the anti shudder valve then egr connected to the egr is a pipe that runs over or at the side of the manifold then goes into a square looking thing which has a black ball kind of thing on it and a pole coming out of the bottom. This is the thing you can hear when you turn the ignition on but don't fire up.

Well where this goes that is the part that could be at fault but if it is why would this part stop the anti shudder valve working.

Well update on my problem.

I know it's been a while since I was on with my problem but as it was causing any issues apart from a rough switch of I thought I would just leave it till my next service and get it sorted then.

Well guess what up popped another problem.

I started losing a lot of coolant but only when I was driving not when it was left overnight.

Well took it to the garage and found the problem within 30 seconds of taking of the under tray.

There is a pipe that runs to the bottom right of the engine as you look at the car with a diameter of around 1 1/2 inch.

This pie had been warn by some electrical cables which in turn had also broken 2 of the wires.

Yep you guessed it the 2 wires that had broken whilst rubbing through the pipe are the 2 that controlled the unit that wasn't working so kind of good that it was an easy fix for both. But £27 for the new pipe was a bit of a shock.

Now car is as good as new.
