Is it normal for the interior light to only come on when you switch it to the left or the right positions?

 

Mine doesn't come on when I open the door and the switch is in the centre position. Am I doing something wrong or does it sound like a fault?

Have you got a sticky door contact? Work it in/out with your finger, if you can feel it in this cold weather.

 

 

Edit......Err, scrub that comment, it doesn't have one :peek:  I was thinking about the ones I have on my Mazda.

Look at it in daylight - there are markings on it showing you what each position does.

 

It should come on when you hit the remote unlock button, and stay on till you turn the key in the ignition I think

 

 

I had mine turned off all summer and only found out when driving to work in November after 3 weeks away from the car.

 

 

I don't actually recall there being a centre position. Just manual or auto.

The right hand position.

I had a look when i got home tonight. Centre is off but switched left or right put the light on so I tried putting it to the right hand position, closed the door and then locked it which put the light off
