Amunsden sat nav unit

Featured Replies

Hi guys I have just a standard fabia vrs was thinking about sticking the Sat nav unit in with the radio and sat nav everything built in genuine skoda one has anybody done it and what's people reviews of the unit?

My monte courtesy has this unit and I really like it, it's easy to use and looks loads better than the boring standard head unit. You would need to change the roof ariel too as its different to the standard one

My Monte tech has this standard and it is excellent, GET ONE!

My Rapid had the Swing unit in and it was changed to the Amunsden. You don't need to change the aerial but use a GPS receiver off eBay (about £10) and tuck it up in the dash behind the HU. Works perfect [emoji106]

You might need to change the fascia surround too but I don't know what the Fabia one looks like.

Do I have to get different wires or anything or straight remove and plug in New one and the gps plug Into back of it and would I need something else for this Bluetooth

It's a straight plug and play.

GPS blue plug goes onto the Blue socket on the back of the unit and the antenna is next to it [emoji106]

You'll then need a little tweeking with vcds to tell the car it has navigation and for it to show up on your MFD.

ive got one and its great mate. can anyone help me. mine cam with no Bluetooth how and where do I buy the part from and how much... cheers :)

If it's like the Octavia you'll need to buy a Bluetooth module and code it to the car. Ebay used to have some on there.
