Hi, i have a ocatvia mk2, its a 2007 plate with climatic control. Its been playing up for about a year. In auto mode , initially after 45 mins or so the air stopped coming out the vents, the fan was still running just nothing coming out anywhere, even if you manually opted for a direction, you got heehaw. More recently that has changed to about 30 mins running time before it gives up. If I turn it off for about 5 mins it will start working again. I have discovered that if you select the econ button it works fine, albeit with no air con. Its been into skoda for 2 days and i got it back washed, hoovered and told that it was working fine!

 

Does anybody have any idea what wrong with it?

all sorted now. Evap temp sensor was giving incorrect info causing the evaporator to freeze. 26 quid from skoda and a 30 minute job.
