Symphony radio connects2 adapter

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am new here, posting on behalf of my girlfriend who just bought a 1.4 TDI Fabia Bohemia yesterday. Very nice car and plenty of room for our dogs :p  Apologies for the noob question, I have searched buut can't find a definitive answer. She is after a way to play her ipod through the oem symphony radio in the car. I have been reading on here about the Dension gateway 100 which is/was the same as the genuine VAG cable, but then I saw a few mentions of the connects2 system. I have found this on amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Connects2-CTASKIPOD003-2-Interface-Adaptor-Roomster/dp/B005CW4VIS and wondered if anyone knows if this will work. She is wanting to put the ipod in the glove box and be able to skip tracks with the HU. Would this work for all the above? Thanks :p

I have one of these installed. Works well and sound quality is as good as the limitations of the head unit. Downside is that it has limted means to select tracks and artists, this is best done via the Ipod itself.

Allow some time for the install as it's all pretty tight for space. I would suggest dropping the glove box to do the job.

Thanks for the reply, could you elaborate when you say it has limited means to select tracks and artists?

You use the radio station channel select buttons, but with no display on the HU it is a bit of a stab in the dark as to what you get. The advance and return buttons allow you to forward or reverse tracks one at a time. I tend to use my Ipod on shuffle most of the time.
