How many phones?

Featured Replies

How many can you have connected with the Amundsen nav unit?

I've just had another go and it seems only one will pair up at a time and only shows one connected, ie phone book, call logs etc

Read all the manuals with the car and it implies you can have up to 4 user profiles saved in the unit, so it just pairs up automatically each time. Doesn't say it will connect 2 phones at any one time though.

As you may or may not know we are talking Seat Toledo here but it's the same as the Rapid I believe.

4 phones in total.

Mine pairs as soon as I switch on but I have to toggle to switch over to the wife's phone if she wants to use it. As you say only one at a time.

lol - like i'm ever going to surrender the blue tooth to SWMBO.

Ok thanks for the replies, think I'll just leave my paired up then to simplify things. SWMBO doesn't drive anyway so she can just use hers hand held.

If my wife's in the car the Bluetooth/phone doesn't stand a chance of getting a word in edgeways in any case!

An oldie, but goodie...

I have a little SatNav,
It sits there in my car.
A SatNav is a driver's friend,
It tells you where you are.

I have a little SatNav,
I've had it all my life.
Its better than the normal ones,
My SatNav is my wife.

It gives me full instructions,
Especially how to drive.
"It's thirty miles an hour," it says,
"You're doing thirty-five."

It tells me when to stop and start
And when to use the brake,
And tells me that it's never, ever,
Safe to overtake.

It tells me when a light is red,
And when it goes to green.
It seems to know instinctively,
Just when to intervene.

It lists the vehicles just in front,
And all those to the rear.
And taking this into account,
It specifies my gear.

I'm sure no other driver,
Has so helpful a device.
For when we leave and lock the car,
It still gives its advice.

It fills me up with counselling,
Each journey's pretty fraught.
So why don't I exchange it,
And get a quieter sort?

Ah well, you see, it cleans the house,
Makes sure I'm properly fed.
It washes all my shirts and things,
And keeps me warm in bed!
Despite all these advantages,
And my tendency to scoff.
I really wish that just for once,
I could f****n turn it off.

My missus faffs around so much with taking calls anyway I thought it maybe easier to get it connected via the bluetooth.  She has to dig it out from her handbag, take it from it's pretty little sleeve by that time caller hung up. Usually daughter or son, so they ring mine, one button pressed we have contact. SWMBO is not very techy anyway so we'll leave her to her own ways I think.
