Hid replacement, look ok with normal sidelights?

Featured Replies

Just received my hid's from London Colour, 4300k ones and hope to fit them this weekend. Wondering what people think of just leaving the existing sidelight bulbs in or if it would look strange with the different colour lights. If not what led bulbs work with no fault codes or any problems?

I think they look ok.

I did buy some Philips blue vision sidelights though as they are slightly whiter. It makes the front end more OEM looking with normal bulbs in IMO.

this is an attempt to show you how the side light leds i mentioned look like  :D

Thanks, will try led bulbs and if it causes any problems can just get something similar to the Philips blue vision, no one else would probably notice but think it would annoy me lol, cheers

I left my original bulbs in to match the OEM look.

Just my opinion but blue bulbs to match the HID's look a bit 'Halfords'.

It's all down to personal taste though!

Just have to wait till I fit them I suppose and see how it looks

I prefer the yellow tint sidelights alongside my 4300K HID's. It looks more factory; seen cars with Xenon's which have standard colour sidelights. If anything it better highlights the uprated dipped beams.

you going to have to code them in ?

Yeah will have to code them in, I take it this must be done at the same time as fitting?
