Checking service records

Featured Replies

Hi.

Had my car serviced recently (first service) and the dealer told me that they don't issue service books anymore but you can check online to see if they have been updated. An electronic stamp if you like.

The problem is, they didn't know how I could check this and this got me thinking that I really ought to make sure that they have done it.

Does anyone know the address of the web site I need and how I access the information.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

This is correct, well the "no service book" part... Mine superb collected in June has a wallet that explains the service, you just keep the receipt/invoice in the wallet... I actually like this idea, you can forge/make up a stamp, an invoice tends to show the work done..

Be interested to find out of you can check online.... I know if the dealer has done his job correct they can see what any dealer has done... When mine had an issue with the AC 2 weeks after I purchased it, the dealer in South Wales new everything, even down to the cable for the MDI for my phone...
