WRC Wide arch kit

Featured Replies

Hi guys

Has anybody got any solid leads on a WRC wide arch kit for a mk1 octavia?

I've sent an email to BRS Technology in Slovakia to see what they can do,but I want to cover a few bases in case I draw a blank!

Thanks in advance

Mark

The BRS stuff is what you want

complete fibreglass wings for the front

wide arches for the rear (requires cutting out and grafting in new fibreglass arches)

front and rear bumpers too

Strictly they are not WRC but Kit car based mouldings

They also do WRC and kit car style carbon bonnets too

ps

the bonnet brs do with the holes is an early EVO 1 bonnet

Now that looks very nice I could go for that....will there ever be a time where there won't be something else I want to buy or do to this car? Great forum this but its very a very expensive place to be!

Mmmmm wide arches. I like

Wow. Would have to run some mad offsets to pull the arches off though....

Any ideas on price for the full kit snow muncher?

9in (if possible!) Motorsport wheels will help ;-)

17x9 ET28 should do it

The rally Octavia's have McPherson strut suspension system positioned to give wider track, hence the wider arches

Custom lower arms and hub modifications might be in order ;-)

I take it you missed the financial health warning clause in the EULA you agreed to when joined up, along with hundreds (thousands) of other members

Everything else is your own fault... Or other members. Skoda - cheaper cars allows you more economic freedom to blow your hard earned cash on stuff you didn't know your car needed!

You might have known I never read the small print!

imho save $ and get some good quality hubcentric spacers tbh

Trying widen the track by pushing the bottom of the suspension further out could open a can of worms I suspect

ie

effect on top mounts, arb attachment, track rods, geometry effects (cast, camber, toe etc)

The rear end would be even more hassle, as the rear uses VW old trailing arm system hybridded into the multi-link double wishbone setup

suspect you'd need to cut the wheel wells out and fabricate mounting points for standard coilover units and also some method of attaching 'normal' wishbones

Agreed snow muncher.....this is where HR Engineering come in! Haha

I would like this kit had the same front bumper as the wrc cars at these pics.....

Yeah, the standard bumper is closer to the WRC than this effort, which (IMHO) is a pretty bad effort which doesn't even suit the lines of the car...

Octavia SLX Wagons

Built for touring car series iirc

not wide arched though

WRC wheel arches look amazing. Just wish they could use the normal VRS front bumper (with some custom extensions, like the rear bumper).

Evening, I'm looking for a WRC bodykit for my 4x4 Mk1, any ideas in 2017? any new compan8ies providing kits? Do BRS deal with the UK, has anyone dealt with them?

Cheers Steve.
