Help ... DMF question!

Featured Replies

Just fitting the 6 speed DMF and clutch, put it all together, and gave the pressure plate a little wiggle to see if there was any movement, and the whole thing moved.

The thing that is moving is the DMF, it's quite fair bit of movement. I know that they are two pieces so I have no idea if this is normal. What should I do?

It should all be rock solid with the flywheel torqued up to the engine and the pressure plate torqued up to the flywheel with the clutch between it and the flywheel.

Is the clutch marked 'Gearbox side'? Can't remember but I'm sure my OEM clutch for the DMF was...

i got a good duelmass £50 collected or post at your expence

Yeah, everything all torqued up. It's the top layer of the DMF that's moving. I think it's fooooked :(

Here is a video of the issue I'm having. It has this much movement even when the pressure plate is all torqued up.

Yep, that's fooked.

I just replaced one today the same, had done around 500 mile from new, genuine Sachs unit as well. Was changed under warranty but still a shame on a brand new unit!

That's shagged mate.
