'"classic" remote central locking

Featured Replies

I have just bought a mk1 classic, which came with a knackered remote key (2 button, non flip) I was under the impression that classics didnt have rcl, just cl. Is there anyway to check which type of locking I should have? I hope to fix it if it is broken, using a genuine skoda 2 button flip key I have spare.

Mine's also a classic and has remote locking. It was a cost option when new.

Here is how to tell if you have remote locking; in your service book and under the boot carpet there is a sticker with the build codes on it. The code for remote locking is 4K3.

Here is a pic of my sticker...
