GTI/TSR Trackday Invite Mallory Pk 12/11/05

Featured Replies

Dont worry about the forms I will bring plenty more. Licence number is supposed to be entered on the indemnity form' date=' no need to produce your licence on the day. I have 1 helmet left for sale, I will bring it with me in case anyone wants it.

There's no space for a license number to go on the form though. I'll have my photocard one on me anyway, so no probs there.

Any chance of a full list of cars attending to see if my digital camera will have some serious work to do? ;)

I will be there, and I fairly sure BryanD will be.

John

1) Jason - driving, trying to avoid all inversions

2) Lee - driving

3) Steve - driving

4) Jon (51OctyTDi) - spectating

5) JohnYardley - spectating

6) BryanD - passenger? ;) Bringing along the socket set to remove my front seat. :D

Do spectators need to be there by 8am, or just passengers?

J

Just passengers I think. Not too sure to be honest. Its going to be a nice easy going laid back trackday (but not lapsing on safety of course :)) so I should think things can be swapped, people added in later on, etc etc. Its in the spirit of the day after all. Its what happened at Anglesey last time around too.

Lots of lovely cool dense air :)

Must get around to polishing the rest of my car. I got the bumper and boot done at the weekend, but that still leaves a whole lot of doors and wings!

Is there anywhere special I should park when I get there? When I went to Bruntingthorpe I nearly drove down a giant hole in the ground, then parked up nowhere near everyone else (d'oh)!

J

Having never been to Mallory I've not got a clue to be honest. I should think there'll be separate parking for spectators though, with an infield / pit area for those taking part on track. ;)

The pit area is in the middle of the circuit and you have to drive round a part of the track to get to it, so access ( if it's like a race day) will be impossible when there is a session on track.

There is also a seperate spectator car park and parking all round the perimeter of the track aswell. It's a great circuit for spectators, as you can see about 80% of the track at any point.

Hi all,

we appreciate all your help with our track day and as a thank you we would like to offer you the remaining 5 tickets we have left.

These will not be advertised elsewhere as we would like to give all the Briskoda guys first dibs.

They will of course be available on the day on a first come, first served basis but rather than turn up and be disappointed if you want to give Mike a call on :- 01278 453 036.

Even the weather is looking pretty good so really looking forward to it.

Thanks again.

Oooh, come on lads! Who else wants a go on track!? :D

I just found out from another forum that there's a TASTY beefed up Corrado coming from Cornwall. Running about 300+ bhp - Think its a 1.8T converted one.

If you havent been to mallory park before the best places to spectate are just after the esses as they brake hard from flat out for the hairpin. Devils elbow is good the watch the cars enter the straight plus you can be close to your mates as they wizz past. Spectator parking can be bit muddy but should be dry this saturday. You can get into the pits at any time via the foot bridge.

Hope this helps those who havent been before

Devils elbow

I'd better watch out for that one. :D

Car is emptied, stripped out and ready to roll (pardon the pun ;) ;))

bryanD - no need for you to bring that wrench and bit for the seat! I found an M10 bolt in a set I have, and combined with my "mini wrench" it was enough to undo one bolt. I'm just going to bring along the wrench and that one socket - Nothing else. :)

take devils elbow too fast or too wide and the tyre wall will welcome you with open arms.
