cannot find cam sensor

intermittant loss of crank sensor - this causes cuttin out while stationary and on the move

loss of power steering

loss of abs

lights on dash : traction control, eml , flashing glow plug light, traction control and abs

it has been to a garage and plugged in and was told it was likely a wiring fault but possibly ecu . i have checked the wiring loom for any damage and traced the wires back from sensor to ecu with a multimeter on continuity and found no faults what so ever

Hi you said the garage only plugged it in to read the faults .... That's a big guess at a wiring fault just from a fault code .... Also you still can have continuity down a faulty wire so just because there resistance there dosent mean it's fine ... Say If a wire has rubbed half way through the stands of wire not fully broken ... You will still get continuity down the unbroken strands of wire ... The only way to properly check is checking voltages where that would show up as a voltage drop .... Hope this helps

If the ECU has to be replaced, are there any other electronical components that should be replaced as well, such as immo, dashboard ?
