Newbie saying hi - thinking of a used 3.6 Superb Estate - seeking advice :)

Featured Replies

Hi folks - Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!

Briskoda seems to be the oracle for all things Skoda hence signing up.

I'm thinking of buying a used Superb 3.6 DSG AWD and wanted to use the forums to gain some advice from fellow owners.

My family and I have recently moved to Switzerland with work (I work in education) and although we are not up the side of a mountain I'd like a spacious, fast and elegant estate with AWD capability. Buying used (cars are expensive here compared to UK) and I was set on a Legacy estate until I rented an Octavia estate for a few weeks. Great car. So I delved further and discovered the Superb Combi 3.6 with DSG and 4x4. Could be just the job with a few subtle mods.....

So that's what I'm looking for. A 2010 model with approx 50k miles is about £15/16k here if you can find one...but I'm on the case!

Anyway, enough rambling, time to trawl the forums. Looking forward to it.

All the best for now,

Dave (Wile7)

Hi Dave - welcome to the forum!

I don't have the Superb; but run the 3.6 v6 and 4motion system in a Passat.

Best car i ever owned and so far 100% reliable.

Good luck with your search

Thank you Samuir1974....

Glad to hear that I might be on the right lines even if it is not the Passat version ;)

Well, finally picked the car up this evening from the BMW dealer where she/he/it was part exchanged.

45 minutes home in slow Friday evening traffic but what a lovely car. Parked in garage - time to play and take photos in the morning :)

Sorry Samuir1974 - forgot to reply to this but I think you have seen my various posts and updates on my car around the forum by now. It's a great bit of kit. So far a very Happy Chappy :)
