Vrs Mat Clips

Featured Replies

For some strange reason my rear mats are missing 2 clips from either side. Now the strange part is noone has been sat in the back seats for over a week and im sure they were there last time i looked. I have checked under the seats to see if there still there but no luck.

The part is the black plastic button which turns to hold the mats in place. Only the top part has come off the bottom is still in place.

Do skoda sell these clips, if so how much are they?

Do normal octavias have these type of mats?

I would imagine Skoda do sell them, your car hasn't been into the dealers recently has it?

No, I was planning on taking it in sometime soon as i can hear a strange ticking noise coming from the drivers side of the engine bay.

Howcome ?

I lost one at one point, told the dealer and he just gave me a new one... Ofcourse a few weeks later the other one 'just appeared'.

The ticking is probably normal if it is a constant ticking noise...

I may be wrong but the ticking is the Carbon filter/thingy (Black box) quite normal.

Correct, Des. K posted an explanation a while back.

I was mising one but now two. The second one kept popping out when a front seat passenger got in. One day a friend wearing boots got in and I've failed to find it since. Must have gotten stuck in the sole of one of his boots. When I was getting a service recently I asked if they could get me a few replacements but said they couldn't. I will try different dealers when I get a chance. I think the whole clip will need to be replaced (ie the bit that screws into the floor also.)

Anybody got any more info??
