I'm running porsche 993 turbo (aka big reds) fronts but needed a 3mm spacer to fit avus s3 17" alloys with cupra r 323mm discs and ds2500 pads with braided lines and ATE super blue fluid and they are awesome.

More important than calipers, imho

Would you say I'm better off keeping the original calipers an change my pads?

There's a set of calipers off a porsche 966 turbo but the model numbers don't seem to match the ones that fit my octavia can anyone shed any light on these please

Don't suppose u know the model number for these calipers?

Are spacers ok to use?

Would you say I'm better off keeping the original calipers an change my pads?

 

 

that depends on how far off what you want you got

 

I'd rate red stuff as being 25-50% less effective than the OEM Mintex/Pagid pads

 

A Pad like a DS2500 is circa 25+% more effective than OEM Mintex/Pagid pads

 

If you do go for uprated calipers, just don't knobble them by putting crap pads like red stuff in them

I've been looking at compbrakes rather then the porsche route anyone used these before?

U get the full brake upgrade kit

No - avoid

 

My compbrake 6pots split open from the bleed nipple after 2/3yrs use

Boxter calipers is what u need to search on ebay

Then check numbers :)

Can anyone tell me what the 03 means an if these will fit because all the number seems good just the 03 im not sure of

There's a set of Porsche calipers on eBay with the right model number but they are black can anyone confirm if these will fit or not please? An where I could get an adapter for these?

Picked up a new set of calipers today :-) with the numbers U stated on the first page just need some adapters now but making progress
