Bet he'd like £20 for the inconvenience caused, and loss of earnings because he was late due to the stress caused ahaha

The rear lights on the VXR are the same as the rest of the range, although £94 is a little steep!

Theyre on ebay for between £30-£40 not sure if theyre oem though.

But then hes not paying. So it doesnt matter haha.

I remember there is a slight difference between base and higher models having replaced a set for a friends mum.

Yer some are smoked on the higher spec and clear on the basic spec

Ok so an update. I sent on the 5th jan via email everything requested, statements, witness statement, invoice from vauxhall etc..

That will be two week tomorrow and not heard anything. I emailed him on wednesday and got no reply. How long would you wait before you tried to escalate it?

Insurance claims shouldn't take more than four weeks to process and pay out.

The last email i had stated he was waiting on the explanation of the employee concerned

Just take 20 minutes and deal with it online and easily,

Get an Email off to the Council Leader & the Depute Council Leader & the Cleansing Department head explaining what happened 

& the actions or inactions so far.

 

Copy and send to all Councillors on your Local Authorities website.

Usually one Councillor or another, usually not from the controlling Political Party will be in touch DDQ trying to point score.

I wouldn't use the scattergun approach. I tended to re file it under the biggest pile I could find if people did that. 

Got a letter today stating that they will cough up for the replacement light however they are not accepting liabilty and are paying out of "goodwill"

Luckily our local councillor lives across the road i have recieved an email back saying its been forwarded to the claims team. Will see what happens next

I'd get councillor involved now, even if it's to send and advice, without a complaint. Then any e mails you send to council can be made cc councillor. I find that just doing that ignites rocket up rear end.
