LED lights

Featured Replies

Wanting to change my number plate and interior lights to LED, straight swap no light on dash?

I believe number plate is included in the canbus so will throw an error. Interior isn't and won't - hope that helps.

Your profile says you have a Fabia VRS and you're posting in the Octavia section! Which is right?

Ok ordered some No canbus error plate bulbs, can I order no cabbie error sidelight bulbs to

No chances for number plate lights if vehicle is 09-   , so many different brands have already tried. Some of resistors (available e-Bay ) will make canbus happy   but for me-'cheap look' too bright, definitely not OEM look...took them out

So I got ordinary 10W from Philips and happy now!

IMHO

Why on earth would you want a bright number plate light?

Is your plan to make it better for you to get nicked at night for any minor infringement!

Errr, LOL.

That's right, the police and the roadside cameras will only pick your plate up if you've got bright LED numberplate bulbs.

If there stupidly bright they will be going back original.

I very much doubt they will be any good (not as good as halogen anyway) and will throw errors too i'd expect

I want something to match my main beam xenon lights for the high beam the same or more output then the halogen in there.

I've seen a few cars recently with upgraded LED number plate lights.

They were that bright from a distance it looked like his reverse lights were on!

No I want to upgrade my high beam

Very clever yet simple Mike, I didn't think of that

Had LED bulbs in mine for 2.5 years and they haven't failed. I coded them and just used normal bulbs with two SMD units in them. They are no brighter than the filament bulbs but give you the blueish white light.
