  • Well I've finally collected my RS3.   So I thought I would share my initial thoughts and photos:-           Two RSs together:-   The car is really easy to drive as I was so nervous d

  • Not sure an M2 is ideal for the commute.  Or loading the family in. Also the 1 series can't have adaptive cruise, so not sure about the 2. Wanted something a bit more sensible as I have a quick week

  • Nah, leave him be, the 7R forums will eat him alive, at least here we know where he is and it beats care in the community

BossFox,

Do you have any further details you can share

Have any been released yet mate?

Wonder if there will be a saloon. Now that would be a good lookin car.

Love the looks of the a3 saloon

Wasn't there a thread on this already?

Are you considering swapping the Golf in already?

Think it was just part of the golf R thread?

Cant remember which though

No ,just interested, as Audi placed the "Interest" click- on some weeks ago now on their website.

When will they be putting on Configurator ,as it is approx. 6 months away from delivery/ to show rooms/ owners.

One thread isnt enough for an excited Keith ;). Haha.

Thought a Deposit Placed potential owner, might be more privy to spec and price Info.

However, no reply to that question raised, so I will assume he too is also in the dark.

I would use such info, to gauge a possible R400 price/spec.

It won't be a problem ,as the Fiesta ST is being retained, as part of the downsizing plan.lol

If i had a downsizing plan, id be forced to buy a Peel p50.

My guess is £42-45k

A lot of money for an A3

They seen to think itll be around £38k

Wow, you can get an Octavia Scout for that kind of money!

I dont think itd take me long to chose, if it had to be between the 2 haha.

I haven't responded because with the time of year I'm with family a lot.

And it's just a car, so I'm not that fussed.

My place in the queue is there, info will come out sooner or later.

In the meantime I've got a brilliant Fiesta ST to wizz about in and other things going on. :D

Having bought so many cars and work vehicles I lack the anticipation and excitement.

My car ownership has already peaked it seems.

I might just keep the ST. It's a lot of fun at sensible speeds.

And less than a third of the costs if you look at likely RS3 spec with some tasty options.

Another flash car or another rental property... Should sort my priorities out maybe?

Because your heart says a flash car, but your head says a property to rent?

Properties are boring. Theyre too slow. Haha.

My Yeti will be quicker than a Golf 400 or Audi RS3. Unless you tune the new cars to stage 3.

Oh haha.

Thatll be a beast. That reminds me. I havent looked at the build thread in a while. I'll have a read up now (:

Quicker is a relative thing!

Quicker is a relative thing!

Indeed.

And no matter how powerful VAG make these new super-hatches they are HEAVY!

To go quick-quick I prefer the track.

I think it's one of the reasons I like the ST for road work so much.

It's 1200kg with optional spare wheel and a brimmed tank.

Weighed it myself.

Got to be around 250kg less than a 4x4 Golf or S3 ?

Properties: Not if you buy and sell, at a good mark up, over a short period  with a minimal investment. Maximum market gain!

Helps you buy quick motor -if you want.
