  • Well I've finally collected my RS3.   So I thought I would share my initial thoughts and photos:-           Two RSs together:-   The car is really easy to drive as I was so nervous d

  • Not sure an M2 is ideal for the commute.  Or loading the family in. Also the 1 series can't have adaptive cruise, so not sure about the 2. Wanted something a bit more sensible as I have a quick week

  • Nah, leave him be, the 7R forums will eat him alive, at least here we know where he is and it beats care in the community

Looks great! Think it's going to look better in real life

Think front arches are widened rather than flared. Rears standard

I'm looking forward to trying one of these. Might be an option to replace the M135i at some point potentially.

More of an upgrade than a direct replacement I would hope. :)

A young friend of mine has just recently joined the sales staff of a well respected local Audi dealership.

So I'm waiting for snippets of info, on deals, specs and the earliest possible test drive to be flagged up.

Keep you posted.

My local dealer are turning out to be a shower of brown stuff.

Sounds good, amongst other things.!

Great shame no manual option. Habit of VAG of late.

Your joking?!................. VAG................idiots........... :wall:

So basically Golf R estate, RS3, RS4 avant etc are all flippin' DSG.................I am still toying with the idea of a petrol 4wd estate in the future if anything untoward happens to my current car, but has to be manual................unless by that time by back gives out again & my left leg goes gammy, then DSG it has to be or can't drive!.......... :(

Saloon is the looker IMO.

Might know a better one.

I've woken up to the fact that DSG cars bore me quickly.

No point in buying something noticeably slower than the Yeti and then getting bored of it after a few months.

So I've given up on the idea TBH.

A year on I still love the Fiesta ST and it's fun within the legal limit while only costing me less than half.

A good daily dose of heel and toe, keeps me entertained to work and back.

Would be a silly swap to make IMO.

Fair enough, just been reading about the Collins 270bhp upgrade in autocar this week. Sounds good.

There are a few 270-300bhp options now.

Not sure I see the point in a front wheel drive Fiesta, but that's just me getting old probably. :D

My young Audi Dealer friend tells me, as from today Audi dealers can quote financial deals on the RS3.

I bet they lack the wow factor of the Golf R deals people were getting.

Yesterday, for a guide I requested the dealer to give me their best package deal, on a "Basic " spec car under a 3 year PCP with a max / Min deposit running 12000 miles a year.

So now waiting their reply.

Chatting to my Partner's next door neighbour, over the weekend,he has a low mileage ,good spec 63 plt S3 . He appears very interested in doing a good deal on the RS3. That will be an interesting feedback ,when he discusses PX etc.with his dealer in Salisbury shortly.

Will post any feedback.
