  Has anyone (if fitted) used their heated front screen lately, my screen seems to clear the frost of the right side quicker than the left side, is that correct ?

 

  Any answers please.

No, both our Yeti and my previous Superb both sides cleared equally.

Mine heats evenly across the screen.

My old Superb also clear whole screen evenly.

Even though I had several stone chip repairs :-)

Mine has a few duff lines, but otherwise clears both sides at the same rate.

I tired out the screen again this morning, there is a center line down the middle of the screen top to bottom about 6 cm wide, that does not defrost.  should that happen ?

The left side does defrost but is a lot slower than the right, defrosted in about 10 minutes, but still with the center not defrosted.   I am going to the garage tomorrow to get it checked out.

If it's the same as the heated screen I had on my Focus, and my wife has on her Mondeo, each side of the screen has a separate electrical feed, so it sounds like one of those may not be connected too well. 

 

I imagine they draw a fair bit of current, so probably worth getting checked - if there's a iffy connection somewhere it could end up overheating.

Well sods law ruled the day, daughter up from London and not well so had to be a nurse today, so I am going tomorrow, thanks for asking.

Yeah - its always is when one desperate to sort something out.

New Year s eve tomorrow -so I advise u to go early!!!

If u can't make it - least try to ring them it might still be a valid claim as u rung in within warranty period!

Yeah mine also cleared both sides evenly.

Wifes one is wonderful. Start car, hit switch, screen clear before I can clear the rest of the car!

Took the Yeti in this morning they have made the job sheet out as from today's date. So i will take it back on the 6th and wait for them to test it out.

 

 Mind you, they did say well is out of warranty by 11 hours. So I looked up to the sky and said to myself stay calm.

 

 I gave them a few photos to play with to upload on to their machine, so they can discuss it with Mr Skoda in the mean time

 

 I did tell them that the Car has only done 9458 miles, and Last week was the first time I had ever used the windscreen heater, I Know I should have phoned them then.

 

 I was asked if I had windscreen cover, they must think I am a bit of Plonker to go down that path. We will see what happens.
