Mk2 octy xenon headlamps

Featured Replies

Is there any adjustment on the brackets that hold the units in place? I can see that sort of swivel in place but can they be moved or adjusted in any way

do you mean the entire headlamp or just the hid bulb section?

the headlamp can only fit in one way so it cant be adjusted. The projector can be adjusted as you can change the kick up

This thread helps to show how the bracket that secures the headlight to the car is fixed...

As mentioned the beam adjustment is done on the headlight itself using two different knobs.

You should be aware that on xenon-equipped cars the headlights need to be put into learning mode before you adjust them to prevent damage.

I understand small adjustments are OK but anything more than a turn and I'd get them adjusted properly.

Nah the whole headlamp as I have the car apart at the mo and trying to sort out some alignment issues, bumoer been repaired from hitting fox and colour coded my grill but headlamps was rubbing on bonnet so want to adjust everything so all looks even again

The plastic plate that the headlight sits on can be adjusted up and down and back to front. There are two T20 torx. Unscrew them and find the little lever by it. Not sure on which way to turn them. I have had to adjust mine too

That looks like a big gap mine are tight to the bumper no noticeable gap.

Ohh thats how they both sit. Have asked skoda and they are fine according to them. Do you have a big gap at the top by the wing?

The pic of j306td shows he normal gap all round the headlight unit.

Closer to the bumper or bonnet should be considered pressed enough.

The gap on mine is as pictured above. If they are much closer to the bumper or bonnet then something is amiss.
