Led high beam

Featured Replies

Interesting!!

Also nice would be the rear tail in 'C' shape to have them all leds?

Any opinions or pics?

Better not Chinese product, and should be able to work in the Canbus system.

It doesn't state whether they will work plug and play with canbus, so I suspect not.

You'll need to add resistors across the + and - wires so you don't get bulb warnings.

The LED's I've seen with accompanying shot of the beam and the illuminated area they give, all have a bit more of a reflector.  And a big cooling fan on the back.

PIAA for example offer a series of LED powered lamps and they all use a lightsource with a larger built in reflector than the ones shown.

The 80w quoted is quite a lot of heat to dissipate, if the efficiency is similar to the 10w LED's I handled is a guide.

Still, at £12 delivered, a punt might be worth it.

as i said before they wont emit enough light.

I have the same basic bulbs (without the usless side smd led's) as my reverse bulbs. They are fine for those but do not have much throw

Also you wont be able to code them as the high beam is part of the canbus system. You'd need to somehow cut into the loom and add a resistor and hope it works.

Speaking realistically the best way to get more output is decent halogens, maybe fit hid's into your fogs but run them seperate to the cars loom and add a button in the cabin.

Get osram cool blue and its enough
