EBC black stuff,does it worth?

Featured Replies

I have an offer to buy EBC black pads, much cheaper than any other normal stuff like TRW,Pagid,ATE....

Does they worth? Are batter than ATE or TRW,or crap?

Tbh i wouldn't touch EBC products at any price. I once fitted green stuff pads with ebc discs on a sri vectra i once owned. It wasn't really that powerful and the brakes were just awful faded really quickly no bite utter rubbish. Then the discs warped. These were refunded changed back to standard vauxhall set up which much much better. From the reviews I've read the red stuff isn't much better. However, I'm not too sure regarding the black stuff but i couldn't see it being good while the rest of their range is that bad.

Never used their black pads- regularly had green pads on favs/fellys seemed to work really well.

I used Green stuff pads and found them far better on my Honda than the OEM pads...and less dust

Got them on the rear, wearing well, no mooing, not that the backs do much though, yellows on the front, no problems to date, EBC get very mixed reviews on here.

Had red stuff before which were good

Black are just their cheap OE equivalents aren't they?

I've had blue stuff pads, that got hot and fell to bits and EBC fobbed me off. I have however been running a set of EBC high carbon blade discs that have been very good.
