...but i am a skoda owner! those of us over a certain age will recall all of the skoda and skip jokes and so  i never thought the day would come when i would be a skoda owner, but here it is. indeed, not just an owner, but a proud owner of a catchily entiled 'skoda rapid 1.6tdi cr greentech elegance' ... i wonder what all that is short for :D

anyhoo, i have already picked up some great advice from this forum and was pointed in this direction by the brother-in-law who has a yeti and an octavia. i have to say, i love the back to simplicity and utter practicality of my new rapid.

Hi & welcome to the forums. I know exactly what you are saying lol. SKODA!!!!!! NEVER......I myself have just downgraded from a 'girly' freelander, to a 'manly' fabia 1.9tdi & I absolutely love it. Loads of extra toys fitted, super ride & stylish looks. Even accomodates my fishing gear with ease.lol. I think maybe yours is a 1.6ltr turbo diesel injection common rail??? Don't know what the 'greentech elegance' bit is, but it sounds classy. Btw, my Daughter has the yeti & she loves it.

Hi and welcome to the forums. I think we have all, being owners of them (at some point), had the OMG you're driving a Skoda?! Some people are still up themselves about it, but they've been VAG built now for quite sometime and are just another well manufactured "German" car. The old saying don't knock it till you tried it now applies IMO.

my nephew is taking his driving test soon and his choice of first ever car is a skodia fabia.... and he is a very style concious youth! it has to be said how far skoda have come. what with my new rapid and the brother in-laws yeti and octavia, as a family we are thinking of setting up our own skoda club

Welcome from another Cambridgeshire member. I have previously owned a Felicia and a Octavia I, now own a Fabia vRS and an Octavia II, and have a Yeti on order to replace the latter car. :)
