Braking Vibration

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Recently got a 1.9 vRS and been loving it for the past few months, just had to go out quickly for something and when I braked (sometimes) the brake pedal vibrated on the right hand side and made a sort of crunching noise. On the way back the traction control light also came on when barely accelerating and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

I also noticed the steering may have been a bit slow at one point as I turned the wheel and the front wheels didn't seem to turn at the same rate as normal.

Was running fine when I got home from work at 1620 today and has just been sat outside until about 1850 afterwards and its about 0 celcius outside.

Had a quick skim of the forums but new to them and only got a little battery left on my phone and was hoping for a quick response before work tomorrow

Edit: forgot to say its on an 05 plate

It had a new bush on it before I bought it, need to pop into the garage anyway, do you know if it'll be ok to drive there (about 3-4/miles) to get it checked out again?

Thanks for the response :)

Check brakes pads and wheel bearing s before anything else.
