Xenon headlights, possible ballast gizmo kaput...

Featured Replies

Hi, I've got a 2010 elegance combi. Drivers side drive light has gone (xenon).

Checked fuse and bulb and both ok. Every thing points to the ballast thingy.

Is there anyway ok checking it?

Where is it?

How do I get to to it?

Any help/advice is greatly welcomed and appreciated

Swap the bulbs - if the same light is off it's the ballast, if the other light is off it's the bulb.

You had to remove all that to get the headlights out!?

I'd live a garage like that at home. Is that a fiat coupe next door?

Yes. All that lot to get the headlights out, and the ballast unit plugs into the bottom of the headlight.

Yes, jakeblade, it's a fiat coupe. It's a relatives car(and garage unit).

He has the coupe as a track day car, has just taken the petrol turbo engine out and is putting a 2.4 20v oil burner in......running 400bhp.
