What price did you pay for the Furby then ? Maybe it was so low they didnt have much room to move. I doubt it, kowing what stealers are like, but you know....

Did they match an internet price for you?

I take it you took the Yaris to the Toyota garage then ?

Not Skoda customer care issue. Its a problem with that dealer, so visit another one

I was offered 6k at one dealer a few weeks ago. They explained that they wouldn't be able to knock any money off the list price though. If I went in now they would probably offer me 5.5k. Try and sell it private and then buy a VRS off an internet broker for over a grand cheaper. My car:-

Toyota Yaris D4D, 53 Plate, 20k miles.

Many dealers will try to match broker prices if you go armed with a printout.

Suggest you visit several dealers to see howw they fare though.

I've found that quite a few dealers will tell you do go to the broker anyhow. Most dealers dont have alot to play with margin wise. And whats the point in selling a car if you have to discount it to the point that there is no profit in it?

Dealers make thier money in aftersales.

Well even if they don't make much profit it still counts towards their sales targets so if they have had a slow month they may go for it.

Some though will match a broker price then give you a pants trade in and make their money that way

I think i've spoken to the old bloke at Benfield before, I phoned up enquiring about an Octy RS for my brother and mentioned he had an S reg Astra he had been offered 4k for, the benfield man immediately started saying that an Astra that age wouldn't be worth a 4k trade in. I hadn't told him what model the astra was, it could have been a turbo cabriolet for all he knew.

I can recommend Derek Slacks in Middlesbrough, I dealt with Farqhuar (I think that's how it's spelt) and he couldn't have been more helpfull. In fact I was quite disappointed when my boss told me we had to lease and I couldn't purchase from them.
