Does anyone do this? Someone mentioned it on another site i was looking on. Seams a good idea. If you have one that is.

I actually have a leaf blower!!!! Whooo! Lol

Wont it be rather cumbersome?

i used to use one, but then found that the dust particles blown at my paint too hard can in fact cause minute scratches not visible to the human eye so i stopped.  I now respray the car every time instead of washing to avoid damaging my paint.....................

Love the humour......  :D  :D

Metro Vac sidekick is brilliant. One of the best bits of kit I've got

I can get an extension to my Pet Dryer ...even better then..

I went to see Chris last year and bought one of those he recommmends the following week. As he's said makes light work of getting to the awkward places other options can't reach like the wheels, front grill and inside the mirrors etc. if you can keep out of sight the neighbours just think you're hoovering the car out, thus avoiding the men in white coats conversation!

How much though and how much power are we talking?

Just had a look though and it's only outputting air at a maximum of 111mph. The metro sidekick is 205mph. For an extra £15 it's worth going for the metro in my opinion

Believe me..its plenty powerful enough for my needs!!

Used it a lot and I like it

TBF Ive not used a Sidekick...so cant comment further

Can't comment on the metro one as I've not tried it. Mine works fine what ever it pokes out mph wise but the thing is I guess either are far better than neither. The wheels are the place its most noticible as you can completely dry them off including the recesses aroind the wheel bolts and the rims without touching them at all. Blows the water out of the mirrors and behind the rear number plate too all of which is a pain to do with a towel.

TBH I use mine from about 2-3 foot away so don't know what more power would achieve as using mine closer takes longer to dry the wheels.

I have owned the pet dryer version and it is certainly really good for the money!

But in the end i did upgrade to the Metro sidekick for the extra power and easier handling.

So depending on budget - take your pick

Having owned both machines I can say the Metro sidekick is much better. The sidekick is easier to handle, no need to lug around a bulky pet dryer. In addition the sidekick is more powerful. Both will do a good job, but sidekick which is only a few quid more than the pet dryer is better IMO.
