Columbus with V11 maps and 4024 firmware £350

Having acquired a DAB Columbus my standard Columbus, which is in excellent condition, is for sale. It includes a 30gb HDD with 16GB or so available for music and an SD card slot which can allow access to a further 32GB of music. It has AM and FM receivers and integrates with both older and newer maxidots and mfsws (e.g. both pre and post FL Octavias). It also supports voice control with correct bluetooth module and stream music over bluetooth if preferred.

It is an older unit (1z0 035 680) but I have updated the firmware to 4024 so it has full 7 digit postcode searching. This is a stable firmware with functionality as set out below:

I also have the near latest v11 maps installed on the HDD including speedcams. This means you don't really need to install newer maps for a good while, which for older units like this can be a problem. However it is possible to do it via the SD card slot if required and I will supply the supporting firmware disc to support this (see here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/325377-updating-columbus-maps-from-sd-card/). Normal DVDs and CDs read fine though, it is just the huge map files that cause a problem.

The screen was replaced under warranty two and a bit years ago and it is in great condition.

The unit was supplied with the car at the factory so you can be sure its not stolen and I have the security code.

The price of the unit reflects its age but it really is virtually as good as the newer ones now it has updated firmware and maps. The cost is a very reasonable £350 and I will include fitting and coding to your car for this if collected from Newport, South Wales. I will also post tracked and insured at cost.

You can see it integrates well with Bluetooth and parking sensors and many music options of CD changer, SD card, HDD, MDI (inc Aux in) and BT streaming are supported.  You can also see mapping includes speed cams.
