not another boost gauge thread!

Featured Replies

I need help, the boost gauge I bought needs a switched live so when the ignition/engine is on the boost gauge light comes on.

I was going to use the switched love from the headlight but me being me I ended up buying a gauge with a tinted screen so can't seea thing without it being lit up and I don't want to be one of them who drive in broad daylight with my lights on!

So I googled and googled and googled and thought hmm ill use the live for the stereo that'll be switched/ignition live? Read a few old threads on here saying it's perm live though?

And am i right in thinking that when the instructions for the gauge wiring saying one of the wires goes to the (-) battery terminal that would just go to an earth point on the car?

Thanks in advance! Jono

Why not drive with your lights on?

Unnecessary? Fear of looking like one of them tits who put coloured bulbs in their side lights and drive around in daylight with them on because they look 'cool'?

The headlight switch will have a switched ignition live at it

Just figure out which one it is with the aid of a multi-meter. Simples
