Bulb failure light

Featured Replies

Sorry, poor description really, that's what the manual describes, "push down", I immediately thought they meant push into the holder but no it actually means push down towards the ground and it will move slightly, a wiggle and its out.

Cheers.

Going to have a trip out later to get a bulb.

I went for Philips Vision Plus from eBay £9.98 delivered for a pair, seemed decent.

I went for Osram Ultra Life (currently £14.14 at Amazon) which are the same brightness as the standard bulbs. First fog light bulb went back in Dec'13 then the other one gave up a couple of months ago. It's just a push fitting, but tricky to get to (having small hands helped).

I'm now wondering if I should get another set just in case! I think I only ever had to replace a couple of rear/brake lights in all my previous car ownership.

A five minute trip to Halfords After taking wife and junior daughter to town for appointments and errands and after dropping same daughter to her Netball fixture. Then an hour to rest before going out to a party. No more annoying warning light and having tested the new bulb it will remain unused for the foreseeable future. To those who were critical and dismissive and were keen for me to do it myself, a raspberry and for those who have found out what an awkward fiddly little job it is, my sympathies.

...the new bulb it will remain unused for the foreseeable future.

Don't forget to disable the cornering fog light feature or it might be back in use again sooner than you think :sun:
